I teach a Flow Class on Monday at 8.45 – 9-45 to get the energy moving for the week, and on Tuesday and Thursday the early bird class from 6.30 – 7.30 am. Once you are up, its an amazing time to do some yoga and wake up to the day. Friday is a Flow Class from 9.30 – 10.45 and will help you to wind down ahead of the weekend.

I also teach a Vinyasa Flow on Sunday at 11 – 12.15

I teach 4 classes a week at the studio: Monday at 11 is a gentle Hatha class to include breath work, asanas and relaxation. Monday at 12.30 is Stretching which is mostly floor work and relaxation. Wednesday’s class is Level 1/2 Yoga with plenty of moving and may present some challenges from time to time! Thursday’s class at 9.30 is aimed at newcomers or anyone who would like to take a slower class with lots of attention to detail.

This MeditationClass will focus on easy to learn and powerful techniques that allow you torelease stress, aid the healing energy & alignment of your body and help to create a sense of relaxation within yourself. There will be two forms of meditation taught – physical centering which is the foundational tool for all meditation and conscious breathing which helps with self awareness and calmness. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

I teach Body Control Pilates for Mixed Abilities on Mondays @ 9.50am until Christmas then 9.30am Tuesdays from January & Mixed abilities on Wednesdays @12.15pm My classes are planned to strengthen & lengthen postural muscles improving all round quality of movement. An emphasis is made on a healthy spine & accurate functional movement, along with breathing & release work to aid all aspects of daily life & it’s varied activities sporting or otherwise. Meeting for coffee at the Idle Wilde Cafe after classes offers a chance to ask questions & have a chat.

I teach the youngest students at Yoga Village. 3:30pm Wednesdays is Yoga for Teens, an introduction into all aspects of yoga for this fast growing group, moving from gentle to more challenging asana, ending in relaxation and guided with humour, tea and chat! Thursday afternoons is Yoga for Children, encouraging healthy body awareness and confidence…and a good sleep! From 1:55-2:40pm, ages 3-6 are taught through animals, drama, play and song and at 2:55-3:50pm ages 7-12 learn age-appropriate posture, breath and relaxation. Friday mornings 11:00am-12:30pm is gentle, nurturing Mum and Baby Yoga . Mothers come along from 6wks postpartum(10wks following a caesarean) to re-align and stretch their body, restore stamina and tone and learn to involve their baby in their yoga practice as much as they, and their child, wishes. Infant Massage is also taught in this class. Tea and snacks provided, feeding and changing expected! Yoga for Pregnancy Saturdays 10:15-11:30am is a slow but strong class for expectant mothers from 12-42 weeks pregnant that addresses aches and issues that can arise from growing babies. It’s an informative class encouraging well being, confidence and flexibility and maintains the mother’s existing tone and strength with postures adapted especially for pregnancy. Emphasis on breath work and relaxation to aid a healthy connection between mother and her baby…invaluable for life, labour and parenthood!

I teach two Iyengar Yoga weekly at Yogavillage. Tuesday night 20:00 – 21:15 and Thursday morning 11:00 – 12:15 The practice of Iyengar Yoga begins with a physical awareness in the body, building stamina, strength and flexibility and improving both mental and physical balance. Somatics is a functional movement class to gain body awareness and to relieve stress and trauma in the body. It is a deeply relaxing and nourishing class that allows one to educate the muscles to release holding patterns and is great for injuries. All fitness levels welcome. Drop in €13 and 6 weeks €65.
